At The Hills Campers we handcraft stunning bespoke campervans from our workshop in Glasgow.
Our team can create dream campervans in as little as 8 weeks.
Every campervan we produce is tailored to the individual, using the finest quality materials and latest technology.
Whether your camper is for weekends away or your new home we can design to suit your needs and taste.
We build all our campers from scratch using a base vehicle of your choice, which we are happy to source for you.
We welcome any ideas to make the most of the space your van provides, whether you need space for the kids, the dog or the bikes!

Conversions
At The Hills Campers we do not only offer you set layouts to choose from. You are the boss when it comes to designing your van.
We will guide you through the process and offer our expert opinion on what we think will work best for you and nothing is off limits!

Packages
We do however offer the below Lomond and Luss packages. The Lomond is our most requested layout but the Luss is becoming increasingly popular since we launched our rental van last Summer.

LOMOND PACKAGE
It comes complete with a fixed double bed at the rear. A full kitchen complete with fridge, oven, hob and sink. The shower room has a portable toilet for easy removal, ensuring maximum use of space. The spacious L shaped sofa is super comfortable for lounging and dining at the removable dining table. There is also an option to convert this seating to an additional double bed. Storage is provided in the way of large under seating pull out’s, overhead storage across one side of the vehicle, wardrobe with hanging space to the side of the shower room and a large garage underneath the fixed bed.
This layout is based on a LWB Mercedes Sprinter or VW Crafter but can be modified to suit other base vehicles. As standard it is a 3 berth with 3 seats for travelling. Options available to change to 4 berth and 4 travelling seats. Other upgrades, additional items and extras are also available to add to this package.

LUSS PACKAGE
A perfect cosy camper for 2 (or 3) Complete with it’s own log burning stove, ideal for the cold Scottish nights. Completed in reclaimed timber, it is just gorgeous.
The Luss features a fixed double bed at the rear. A comfortable seating bench for lounging and dining (which can be used as a small single bed) and small seat across with table in between.
Full kitchen complete with sink, hob and fridge. Plenty of storage throughout with a large overhead cabinet, kitchen cupboards, under bench and under seat storage and of course a large garage space at the rear.
The large shower room also houses a removable porta potti to maximise use of the space.

Typically a conversion will take 10 weeks to complete. However, this can vary from 8 to 12 weeks
This will vary depending on your requirements. However as a guide, our Lomond layout package on our site costs £38,000 plus VAT
We do not supply the base vehicle. However, we can assist you with the search for a vehicle if you wish.
Our next available slot is July 2024.
Once you have had a look through our designs, package and cost, use our enquiry form on our contact us page or give us a call. We will then work with you to create a quote for your build. Once you are happy with your quote, a deposit of £2000 is required to secure your build slot. Deposits are non-refundable.
No, build slot deposits are non-refundable.
Absolutely!! We have worked with customers from outside the UK previously. We use Whatsapp to keep in touch with customers.
We love to work with Mercedes Sprinters and VW Crafters. Not only do they allow the most space for building your mini home, they are also more reliable and built to last for many many miles if looked after. However, we can customise your build to suit any van.
We would always suggest you get the best van your budget allows for in terms of age of vehicle and mileage.
Typically we do not do part conversions. However, depending on availability we may be able to offer this.

To secure your build slot we ask for a deposit payment of £2000. After deducting this from the total, 50% of the remaining balance is due when dropping off the vehicle prior to the build commencing (usually one week prior). A further 25% is then due at the midway stage of the build and the final 25% of collection of the vehicle.
We do not offer finance currently. However, this is something we hope to offer in the future.
All builds come with a 6 month warranty for our workmanship. Some of the equipment in the build will come with individual warranties which vary by product. All details will be provided at handover of the vehicle.
We recommend Alan Boswell insurance for motorhome insurance.
